Myriam Sanchez, Clinical Therapist, Your Family Wellness Village in Glen Ellyn, IL

Myriam Sanchez

Owner  &  Clinical Therapist

My name is Myriam, I am the owner of Your Family Wellness Village. I am a perinatal and couples/family therapist devoted to providing you with emotional and practical support, whether you are coming to us as part of a couple, family, or are a new parent. I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Adler University and then proceeded to work in private practice settings, as well as in partial hospital programs. Throughout my 10+ years in practice, I acquired certificates in Positive Discipline Parent Educator, and in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I work mainly from an ACT framework, guiding my clients to identify their core values, formulate committed actions towards those values, and identify road blocks in their lives. I also pull from attachment theory, helping you identify and form secure bonds with significant relationships in your life.

My life and work journey have taught me that it takes a village not only to raise children but to go through life in general! You don’t have to do it alone. Take the first step towards building your supportive village now. Call for a free 15-minute phone assessment to see which service best fits your needs.

Jennifer Polizzi

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

My name is Jennifer and I have worked with families, teens, couples, and individuals as a therapist, caseworker, and in educational settings. My specialties include pregnant and postpartum women, couples, OCD, and grief work. I work from a Family Systems perspective, using aspects of CBT, ACT, and strengths-based therapy to help you deal with issues in your life. For couples, I work from an ACT and Gottman perspective. I am a certified Gottman Level I therapist.

I understand that it can be difficult to seek help and I work with clients to create an environment that is safe, where trust has been established so that difficult issues can be discussed. It is important that people have a place to be heard, to tell their story, to understand how and why they get stuck, and to have the tools they need to move forward in life. My goal is to work together with clients to find ways to deal with life’s challenges.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. I received my Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Casey Castle

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

My name is Casey and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working in a variety of community mental health settings.

I use an integrative approach to tailor treatment around clients’ goals and needs – enabling them to look at what is going wrong, what is going right, and what kind of changes they want to see in their lives. In addition to teaching my clients CBT tools, I enjoy using strengths-based and solution-focused approaches and mindfulness-based stress reduction to help clients build on their strengths and to empower them to create positive change. My specialties include working with womxn and families on perinatal and maternal mental health, clients adjusting to diagnoses of chronic illness, as well as military and veteran families. I also have experience with CBT for insomnia (CBT-I), fertility, and IVF.

My goal is to help you find and navigate your path and use your voice in the way that feels the most authentic and healthy for you. I want you to feel heard and seen, so I focus on creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can share your story and know that you are not in this alone.

Working with us is like...

Working with us is like having a guide next to you, to follow you through the ups and downs, celebrate the small victories, and help vent and process the big setbacks. Therapists don't give advice, because our clients already know what to do. We empower clients to find that voice within and then act on it through small committed actions.

Our favorite part is when we witness clients' progress big and small: less tearfulness, connection among relationships, gains in the confidence, and leveled moods. We find it to be an honor to hold people's vulnerable and delicate stories!
