What to expect: Group meets on Wednesdays from 7-8pm, with a 30 minute optional time at the end for casual mingling or for Q&As. This is a donate-as-you-can group for expectant mothers, meeting every other week. Expectant mothers can join at any time. Your Belly Tribe is an emotional support group, mixed with psycho-education, skills training and some processing as well. If you are interested to join, you must go through an initial screening to see if you will be a good fit for the group. Call our main office to schedule your group therapy intake appointment.
Are you having a difficult time handling your pregnancy? Since pregnancy, has your mood shifted, your body image questioned, or your thoughts started racing? Do you struggle with a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder onset during or exacerbated by pregnancy? Group therapy differs from individual therapy by holding therapeutic sessions in a group setting run by a therapist instead of in a private one-on-one setting with a therapist. In these group sessions, moms-to-be share their thoughts and experiences about pregnancy and motherhood with the whole group (the tribe), allowing them to support one another while being supported by others who understand what they’re going through.
This group is ideal for expectant mothers who are interested in therapy, but want to try something lower pressure than individual therapy or as a complement to individual therapy. Your Belly Tribe helps you find a sense of community while giving you access to emotional regulation, relationship satisfaction and other life-enhancement skills that can help relieve pregnancy and postpartum woes, and beyond.

- How to deal with physical, emotional, and psychological changes during pregnancy

- Education on warning signs, and how to cope with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
